Historical Note

Nick Stuart (1903-1973) began his career in motion pictures as a script clerk, cameraman, and assistant-director. He then became an actor and worked on such films as The Cradle Snatchers, The High School Hero, Joy Street, and others. Stuart acted under contract for Fox Films and Columbia Pictures for ten years. In 1936 he began a career in music with the formation of his own touring band which lasted until 1961.
