Content Description
This box had 6 folders that contain various documents related to teaching, lessons and lesson planning, research, and other related papers for electrical engineering. There is a folder specifically for patents on rechargeable flashlights, some with notes on them as well. There are 9 notebooks: each containing various handwritten and published articles on teaching and teaching electrical engineering. There are University of Idaho specific teaching materials with additions of teaching materials found from online sources: both in the notebooks and in the folders. The personal research is all related to opportunities, projects, and notes for electrical engineering and those leading in the field.
Historical Note
Kenneth "Ken" Vincent Noren was born January 10th, 1958, in Troy, Idaho to Carl Henry and Shirley Ann (Irrer) Noren. He was raised in Portland, Michigan and obtained his bachelors, masters, and PhD in electrical engineering from Michigan State University. In 1995, Ken married Debbie Konen on November 18th. Ken taught at the University of Idaho for twenty years. He was presented with the 'Outstanding Teaching Award' in 2011. Ken died February 25th, 2012, at the age of 54 in Troy, Idaho.
