Historical Note
Olan Soulé was a radio, television, and movie actor between the 1930s and 1990s. Born in La Harpe, Illinois in 1909, Soulé started working in radio in 1933 and went on to star in numerous popular radio shows between 1933 and 1958, including "Bachelor's Children" (1935-1946) and "The First Nighter" (1943-1953). He also appeared in numerous television shows and movies between the late 1940s and early 1990s. Olan Soulé passed away in 1994.
Content Description
Collection contains six publicity photographs of Olan Soulé (1943-1980). Collection also contains six photocopied annotated scripts of radio shows Soulé starred in: two from "Bachelor's Children" (1944, 1946) and four from "The First Nighter" (1944). Two original resumes and a photocopy of a short biographical manuscript are in this collection as well.
