The League of Women Voters of Pullman is a nonpartisan organization that studies and acts on local, state, and national governmental issues. With careful review of policies, proposals, or issues, the league will develop a position that does not support or oppose a major party or a specific candidate. The Pullman chapter was organized in 1950 and chartered by the national organization in 1952.

This collection consists of records of the Pullman chapter of the League of Women Voters. It includes correspondence, membership information, reports, financial information, collected research materials, historical notes and a scrapbook.
Most of the materials in MS.2010.24 were collected by Dorothy Swanson, who had been a member since 1951 and served several terms as president.
Preliminary inventory:
MS.1998.19 (inclusive dates 1990-1995):
Collected research materials, newspaper clippings, and a small amount of organizational records including bylaws and financial information.
MS.2010.24 (inclusive dates 1963-2014):
Box 1. Correspondence; membership lists, 1953-2006; bylaws; treasurer reports; printed reports; historical notes; handbook (unit leader); collected items related to other groups; publicity file; voter turnout file; various government and community issue files.
Box 2. Correspondence; government and community issue files; loose clippings; 50th and 75th anniversary files; publications; member directories.
Box 3. Correspondence; newspaper sections and clippings; envelope with buttons (labeled "pro-choice buttons"); VHS cassettes (1991-1993). Newsletters, Feb. 2013-Feb. 2014.
Box 4. Ledger (accounts); scrapbook (clippings); loose clippings and poster.
MS.2020.06 (inclusive dates 1950-2019):
Box 1. Program brochures and files; studies related to local taxes, city and regional planning, health, privatization of government services, the College Hill neighborhood, public libraries, immigration, environmental quality, state tax structure, poverty, and "Basic Human Needs"; documentation of the 2008 visit by then Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed; 2007 report "Safeguarding U.S. Democracy: Promoting an Independent Judiciary Grant" and related files on April 2007 visit by Washington State Supreme Court Justice Gerry Alexander; "Voter" newsletters 1968-2017; a leadership development handbook; and a notebook commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Pullman League of Women Voters.
Box 2. Informational brochures, directories, handbooks, correspondence, history and early League information, newspaper clippings, bylaws, voter registration information, finance drives and budgets, and meeting minutes 1963-2012.
MS.2023.04 (inclusive dates 1984-2008)
Includes meeting minutes, membership lists, press releases, budget documents, bylaws, a license plate holder, and other materials related to the League of Women Voters of Pullman.
MS.2024.22 (Inclusive dates 2006-2020)
2 boxes. Includes donation records, program planning records, print-outs and clippings on various current event topics, obituaries, and mailing lists.
