Content Description

The collection consists of over 700 photographic images taken throughout the 1980's by photographers for the University of Idaho student newspaper The Argonaut. Topics of the photos include student life, campus events, sports, pictures of faculty and staff, as well as the UI buildings and grounds. The photographs were organized by alphabetical order shortly after receipt of the collection. The numbering system was devised by Special Collections staff.

Historical Note

The Argonaut is the award winning student newspaper produced by the University of Idaho Student Media in the Department of Student Involvement. Continuously in print since 1898, it was historically published twice a week during the academic year and distributed across campus and throughout Moscow, Idaho and Pullman, Washington. The Argonaut continues to publish a print edition occasionally, as well as an online edition.
