Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Chester Kingsbury was an activist in the University District of Seattle. He was president of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Methodist Federation for Social Action, a board member of the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington (circa 1954), and a delegate to the Socialist Party convention in 1936. He was also a member of the Church of the People in the University District and the owner of the North Seattle Printing Company. His wife, Elsie Kingsbury, was a member of the Seattle Branch of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
