Historical Note
The Mathematics Department dates back to 1893 under Osmar L. Waller as the first head of the department. Waller remained as the head of the department until 1919. The first female instructor Gladys H. Freeman was hired in 1921. The department was reorganized multiple times and Civil Engineering and Mathematics were separated in April 1919.

Primarily consists of administrative files and reports related to the Mathematics Department. Items also include personnel files and project proposals.
