Historical Note

Edward W. Nolan (1939-) was a librarian, archivist, and rare photograph collector. He earned his history and library science degrees from the University of Oregon and went on to author various books about the history of the Pacific Northwest. Nolan worked in positions related to special collections at the Museum of History and Industry, Lane County Historical Museum, the Montana Historical Society, the Eastern Washington State Historical Society, and the Washington State Historical Society.
