Content Description

The main focus of this collection is images of 1800s Salt Lake City. Many buildings and places of historical significance are in the collection. Also included is a rare 19th century wax doll, portraits of members of the extensive Brigham Young family, and a portrait of Williams himself.

    • 2-25: Views of Salt Lake in the 19th century ranging from businesses, Eagle Gate, tithing office, theatre, and notable houses. These are not actual photographs but images that were mass produced on paper for tourist consumption
