The South Carolina State Commission of Forestry was established by an act of the state legislature in 1927 to help counteract the effects of poor farming practices.

Collection contains a booklet titled History of the Foresters Council of South Carolina, June 15, 1944-June 19, 1968; four issues of the “Report of the State Commission of Forestry”; and a series of “Reports – State Commission of Forestry.”
