Content Description

This collection contains both professional papers and administrative files of Leo G. Provost. Included are class syllabi and lecture notes, as well as biographical material, manuscripts, and speeches on educational topics. Also included are personal and professional correspondence. The collection also contains memoranda and reports relating to the administration of the State College of Education, which became the Graduate School of Education in 1968.

In addition, the collection contains records of the Academic Year Institute (1957-1969) which was a federally-funded program to help educators improve their science background, and the Army Specialized Training Program (1942-1946) to train Army personnel in science and mathematics.
