Historical Note
Anne Shannon Moore was born in Bloomington, MO. She was educated in Tacoma public schools, and wrote features for the Tacoma News. She went to Chicago in 1900, and wrote feature essays for the Chicago News and the Tribune. In 1907 she returned to the Pacific Northwest and, except for a short stay in New York City, remained in Oregon.
