Historical Note
Verna E. Endicott was born in Iowa in 1901 and moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming when she was five years old. She grew up in Cheyenne and briefly lived in Buford, Wyoming during the winter of 1920-1921. Endicott wrote about her childhood in Cheyenne and about her brief stay in Buford. She passed away in 1997.
Content Description
Collection concerns Verna E. Endicott's early years in Wyoming. It contains correspondence and the following manuscripts written by her: "Cheyenne's Special Sun", "West End or Red Light District", "The Fishing Trip 1909", "Downtown", "That Circus Day", "Pets", and "Christmas in a Box Car."
