Historical Note
Janet "Jessie" Pender Healy was born on June 26, 1878 in Glascow, Scotland. Soon after her family came to Salt Lake City where her father worked at the Singer factory. She married George W. Healy on March 15, 1899 in Salt Lake City, Utah and died on January 5, 1947 in Salt Lake City.
Content Description
This collection includes photographs of Janet Pender Healy and her family. Her mother Jane McCleery Pender, father James William Pender. Her husband George William Healy and their children, Everett, Eugene, Margorie, and Shirley. As well as other members of the Pender and Healy families. It also contains photographs of family members standing outside their homes, primarily the home of Will and Jessie Healy at 446 West 4800 South, Murray, Utah. Many of the photographs have written identifications on the backs.
Her autobiography, writings, and correspondences can be found in ACCN 1421.
