Historical Note
LaMotte T. Cohu was an airlines executive. In 1930 he was president of Air Investors Inc. and Aviation Corporation. He resigned as president of Aviation Corporation in 1932. He was also an executive committee member of Transcontinental and Western Air (1933-1947) and chairman of the board and general manager of Northrop Aircraft (1939-1947).
Content Description
The collection contains photographs, scrapbooks, and awards reflecting LaMotte T. Cohu's career in aviation. The photographs include images of airfields and airplanes in the 1930s-1940s, including interior views of passenger aircraft. There are also photographs of many prominent individuals in the aircraft industry.
