Biographical files on individuals and corporations of the Pacific Northwest, especially Washington State. A majority of the biographical files are clippings from various Pacific Northwest newspapers. The collection is indexed in the Pacific Northwest Regional Newspaper and Periodical Index card file located in the Special Collections Reading Room. References in the card file to material in this collection will usually include the words "Biography Pamphlet File" and the reference number 979.719. Other reference numbers that contain the heading "Biography" have also been interfiled in this collection. The collection is arranged alphabetically by author or corporation name.
Significant biographical material exists for Harry C. Bauer (box 8) and Lewis B. Schwellenbach (box 112).
