Content Description

Correspondence, 1886-1916. (Xerox copies)

These letters, all in Danish, are photocopies of the orginals which were returned to the family. Ruth Lehmann Craford has prepared two chronological inventories, "Letters Prior to 1900" and "Letters 1900-1916" which describe each item giving place of origin, date, salutation, and description of the subject matter. See Inventory File in Special Collections. Envelopes with addresses are described wherever possible. The letters, between family members still in Denmark and those in the U.S., deal largely with family matters.
