Content Description
This collection includes CD recordings of the UI Inland Empire Jazz Festival ranging from 1969 to 1972.
Historical Note
The University of Idaho's annual Inland Empire Jazz Festival began in the 1960s. In 1985 the festival was renamed to the "Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival" in honor of Hampton's contribution to jazz. From its debut, the festival has featured students and popular jazz musicians.
