Content Description

Most of the items are by American composers working in the first half of the twentieth century. A few, which are autographed fragments or autographed reproductions, are of historical rather than musical interest. Notable exceptions to the above are the holographs of a short work for brass ensemble by Mendelssohn, a cadenza for the Mozart Piano Concerto (KV 491) by Gounod, and a bohemian manuscript of parts for a Missa Brevis from the late eighteenth century.
