Content Description
The Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation materials include an instruction manual, 1 volume, 1944; reports and diagrams, 1941-1945; photo albums, 2 volumes, 1941-1945; training manuals, 1940-1943, for the main jobs available at the shipyard during World War II; a print, 35.6 x 50.8 cm., of an unidentified ship, with 12 service citation seals representing defense work during World War II. Also in the collection is a folder of materials relating to Marie "Chub" Hopkins Klinkhammer, who worked at Oregon Shipbuilding in the 1940s, including a letter and postcard describing the Vanport flood of 1948, and a copy of "Record breakers" signed by various workers at the company.
