Biographical Note

Harold T. Dodge, a Seattle native, served on the faculty of the University of Washington as a professor of medicine from 1956-1966, and from 1969-1992, when he was appointed Professor Emeritus. He was also director of the Cardiovascular Research and Training Center until his retirement and served as a trustee of the John L. Locke, Jr. Charitable Trust.

The UW. John L. Locke, Jr. Health Sciences Computer Center was established in 1971 with funds received by the University of Washington from the John L. Locke, Jr. Charitable Trust.

Reports, correspondence, grant proposals for funded projects: Functional Characteristic of the Left Heart (1976-1991); Quantitive Angiographics Analysis of Coronary Atheroslerosis: Its Progression, Its Effect on Myocardial Contraction Effect on the Myocardium (1978-1982); Sudden Cardiac Death and the Onset of Myocardial Infarction (1971-1975); Sudden Cardiac Death and Lethal Arrhythmias (1978-1981); administrative correspondence regarding possibility of developing cardiovascular, pulmonary, blood, and blood disease center; cardiovascular data acquisition and Processing Center and Hemodynamic and Research Laboratory information, the University Hospital information, Cardiology Ambulatory Cath Service information, committee files that document Dodge's participation in the Academic Computing Executive Committee; and materials documenting the Computers in Cardiology conference held in Seattle, October 1982; historical features, meeting minutes, financial records, planning documents, agreements, evaluations, photographs, newsletters, printouts, and related materials, trustee records, Swedish coronary care committee records, tax returns, requests for funding, and subject series.
