Historical Note
Unger (d. 1981) was a motion picture and television distribution executive and producer. He worked for foreign film importer Jack Hoffberg in the mid-1930s and headed his own company, Distinguished Films, from 1945 to 1950. Unger was a co-founder of the television syndication firm, National Telefilm Associates, in 1953 and in 1959 established Home Entertainment Company, an early pay-television firm. His other business ventures included Unger Productions and Hotel Films International. Unger's film productions included "Force 10 from Navarone," "Assassination at Sarajevo," "Milton's Paradise Lost," "I Love You Rosa," and "A Touch of Danger."

Collection contains motion picture production files of correspondence, budgets, casting information, scripts, publicity materials, legal documents, and other materials; files related to various business ventures; motion picture stills; a 35 mm print of "I Love You Rosa"; and miscellaneous other materials.
