Biographical NoteReturn to Top

As of 2022, John White is a PhD candidate at the Tulane University studying Indigenous conceptualizations and interactions with plant domestication and diversification. White completed his MSc in ethnobotany at the University of Kent at Canterbury, England. White investigates how Indigenous Runa farmers think about and modify food crop and crop wild relative diversity in Ecuador's Tropical Andean-Amazonian interface. White has received multiple awards from the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) program, Jacobs Research Funds, Lewis and Clark Funds, National Science Foundation DDRIG, and Fulbright-Hays DDRA.
