Historical Note
Allen Swan Ramstedt was born on May 6, 1906 to Victor and Alma Ramstedt in Moscow, Idaho. He attended Moscow High School and came to the University of Idaho in 1925. Here he studied Business and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and the Inkwell (Lutheran) organization. Allen graduated with bachelors in Business in 1928. After graduating, he married June Eimers on May 26, 1935 in Grangeville, Idaho. He also worked with his father at the George Creighton, Company store in Moscow and owned the store until his retirement. Allen died on October 29, 2001 in Moscow, Idaho.
June Gareth Eimers was born on June 9, 1913 to Jacob and Rose Eimers in Grangeville, Idaho. She graduated from Grangeville High School and enrolled at the University of Idaho in 1933. June was an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the Women's Athletic Association (basketball sports manager), the Pan-Hellenic Association, and worked for the Argonaut (U of I student newspaper). After attending U of I, she went on to work in the Latah County Assessor's Office until her retirement. June passed away on February 28, 2002 in Moscow, Idaho.
Content Description
This collection consists of one scrapbook kept by Allen and June Ramstedt. The Ramstedt's were both University of Idaho alumni, and lived in the Moscow community until they passed. The scrapbook contains a few pictures of the U of I campus and various students. It also features engagement and wedding information and pictures from the marriage of Allen and June.
