Historical Note
Waldman (1917-1973), an actor, grew up in St. Louis and acted on the stage before serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. In response to Hollywood blacklisting in the 1950s, he emigrated to England to continue his acting career and was elected to the National Theatre of Britain. Waldman also used the stage name David Bauer.
