Historical Note
Ivy William Duggan (1897- ) was a professor of agricultural education at Clemson University from 1926-1930 and Mississippi State College from 1930-1934 before working as an agricultural economist for the Agricultural Adjustment Administration from 1934-1943. From 1943-1953 he was Governor of the Farm Credit Administration and also served as an agricultural attache to the U.S. Embassy in Spain from 1961-1964.
Content Description
Collection contains miscellaneous materials relating to Duggan's career in agriculture, including speeches on the Farm Credit Administration and agricultural economics (1935-1960); correspondence, some of which is in Spanish (1937-1968, 1971-1974); newspaper clippings (1936-1965); 1 scrapbook; and 2 78 rpm records of an interview with Duggan on NBC Radio regarding quotas on cotton production.
