Content Description
This collection includes: four paintings by Nomland made in the World War II CPS camps or with CPS subject matter; three later paintings; various publications by Glen Coffield; various publications printed by Nomland in the CPS camps; and a letter from Coffield to Nomland.

Description: Glen Coffieldby Kemper Nomlandoil painting on canvas ; 25 x 30 inches
While in the Cascade Locks, Oregon, Civilian Public Service Camp 21, Kemper Nomland painted this portrait of Glen Coffield, which was later published in two of Coffield's books "The Horned Moon" and "3 Songs," as well as in the literary magazine "The Illiterati" (#3). Coffield served as education director for the Fine Arts program at Cascade Locks and Waldport.
