Historical NoteReturn to Top

This collection includes theses from Albany College prior to its change to Lewis & Clark College in 1942 and theses submitted up until 2010 at Lewis & Clark College. Albany College was created from Albany Collegiate Institute in Oregon, chartered in 1867, and officially became Albany College in 1905. In 1938, the institution moved to Portland, Oregon and, following the purchase of the Fir Acres Estate from the Lloyd Frank family in 1942, was renamed Lewis & Clark College. The documents in the Senior Thesis Archive predating 1942 are labeled as being submitted to Albany College and those following 1942 are labeled as being submitted to a department at Lewis & Clark College.
