Historical Note

Ruth A. Brandwein served as the Belle Spafford Endowed Chair conference organizer and convener of the 1996 National Invitational Symposium sponsored by the University of Utah Graduate School of Social Work. Brandwein earned a PhD in social welfare from Brandeis University, a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington, and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Brooklyn College.
