Historical Note
Russell W. Estlack is an author, historian, and US Air Force veteran from St. George, Utah. His published works include "Shattered Lives, Shattered Dreams," "The Aleut Internments of World War II," two collections of true stories of the American West, and an account of the lost Spanish expedition of 1528. His newest book, Memories of War includes a recounting of Cpl. Clarence Burleson's accusation and subsequent trial for the 1943 murder of two elderly incarcerees at a Japanese incarceration camp in Lordsburg, New Mexico.
