Originally called the Olympic Ski Club, Ski Utah Associates was formed by a group of civic-minded business leaders who sought to convince out-of-state skiers of the bounteous skiing opportunities in the Wasatch Mountains, as well as to explore the possibility of hosting the Olympic Winter Games in Utah.
