The Holy Cross Hospital Auxiliary records (1958-1995) contains scrapbooks, handbooks, meeting minutes, policies and procedures manuals, newsletters, and financial reports documenting the activities of the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary was an organization to coordinate and recruit volunteers to assist the mission of Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was founded in 1958 and disbanded in 1995 when the hospital was sold and renamed.

Historical Note

Holy Cross Hospital was founded in October 1875 by M. Holy Cross Welsh and M. Bartholomew Darnell. The Holy Cross Hospital Auxiliary was established in 1958 and was disbanded in 1995 when the hospital became Salt Lake Regional.

Content Description

The Holy Cross Hospital Auxiliary records (1958-1995) contains invitations, scrapbooks, newsletters, fund raising records, meeting minutes, receipt books, policy manuals, handbooks, directories, and member lists. Documents regarding several fund raisers that the auxiliary sponsored from 1976 to 1993 are contained in box 1. Volunteer and auxiliary handbooks, directories, and manuals dating from 1957 to 1995 are housed in box 2. Minutes from executive committee meetings, auxiliary board meetings, and board of trustees meetings are in boxes 3-4 and date from 1974 to 1994. Newsletters and financial reports from 1958 to 1992 are contained in box 5. Scrapbooks containing photographs, news clippings, and other materials from 1958 to 1995 are housed in boxes 6-16.
