Historical Note
General Electric was incorporated in 1892 and was formed out of various smaller companies owned by Thomas Alva Edison and Thomason-Houston Electric Company. The company became one of the largest corporations in the world as it migrated into a wide range of industries including fossil and renewable energy, aviation, and healthcare. From the late nineteenth century to the 1970s, General Electric produced a range of household goods and medical equipment, such as the X-ray machine and home television.

Collection contains annual reports, a 1965 Annual Meeting report, reports titled “The Entrepreneur in a Changing World” and “Walking the International Business Tightrope”; and 2 issues of The General Electric Forum.
