Max Poulsen Peterson was born in Montpelier, Idaho in 1938 to Raymond Parley and Zora Poulsen Peterson. Peterson worked at the Utah State University Library for 30 years, and served as the Director of Libraries and Information Services between 1982-2000. Peterson died on June 5, 2018.
