Mileva Maravic (1912-2003) grew up in Gebo, Wyoming, a company town of the Owl Creek Coal Company. She attended the University of Wyoming and taught in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Maravic collected historical material related to the town of Gebo.

The Mileva Maravic collection contains photographs of Gebo, Wyoming, and the coal mines of the Owl Creek Coal Company. Also included are materials from Maravic’s school years in Gebo; newspaper clippings about Gebo; a master’s thesis by Iris Guynn about Gebo; a map of Gebo; and reminiscences by Mileva Maravic, Vernal Woolman, George Talovich, and others.
