Biographical Note
Joseph H. Wilde was born 13 March 1865 to John and Maria Wilde in Coalville, Summit County, Utah . He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 25. 1875. In 1891, he began a two-year mission for the church in Wales. Following his return he worked for the Coalville Cooperative Mercantile Institution for 50 years. Wilde also served on the Coalville city council. He died November 20, 1942 in Coalville, Utah.

Content Description
This collection contains four missionary diaries of Joseph H. Wilde from his 1890s mission to Wales for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The diaries cover the time period from March 1891 to March 1893. In the diaries, Wilde details daily missionary activities. One diary contains expense and other accounts (Folder 3).
