Historical Note
Arthur R. Christie (1890-1964) was an American military aviator. He was in the air service under the command General John Pershing, 1915-1916. During World War I he was in command of the 99th Aero Squadron. He was later promoted to command of the 5th Corps Observation Group.
Content Description
The collection contains photographs, documents, and publications regarding the aviation career of Arthur R. Christie. Included are biographical materials, newspaper articles, and newsletters. Photographs depict Christie and other aviators, aircraft, the 99th Aero Squadron, and the Signal Corps School at North Island.
