Historical Note
The Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington includes the following dental disciplines: Dental Materials Science, Operative Dentistry, Occlusion, Prosthodontics, and Graduate Prosthodontics. The department is responsible for teaching students how to plan to and treat damage inflicted by oral disease and trauma. From 1993 to 2007, the Department of Restorative Dentistry also included the Division of Hospital Dentistry and the General Practice Residency Program.
