Summary
The office of Administrative Vice President was created in 1967 and became part of the current office of Vice President for Administrative Services in 1973. The office developed long-range physical plans; directed maintenance, operation, and construction of buildings and grounds; and represented the University with external public and private agencies in matters concerning planning, zoning, traffic, law enforcement, and related areas. During the period covered by these records, Brigham D. Madsen (1967-1972) and C. Ray Varley (1972-1973) served as Administrative Vice President. This collection contains correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes principally related to campus planning and construction.
