Biographical Note

Eve Helen Mires was born on June 2, 1893 in Ellensburg, Washington Territory. She graduated from the State Normal School in Ellensburg and worked as a teacher. In 1886, her father, Austin Mires, was elected as the first mayor of Ellensburg.
