Historical Note
Ina Claire Wallace was a prominent actress during the 1900s. She began performing at the age of thirteen and made her first Broadway appearance in The Quaker Girl. Other productions on stage and in the movies included Polly with A Past, Biography, The Fatal Weakness, The Awful Truth, Rebound, and The Royal Family of Broadway. Her last performance was in The Confidential Clerk (1954).

The Ina Claire Wallace papers (1893-1985) contain materials centered around Ina Claire (1892-1985), a prominent actress during the 1900s. The collection includes correspondence, address and day books, scripts, scrapbooks, notes, certificates, contracts, programs, pamphlets, and various other materials, some of which relate to Ina Claire's third husband, William Ross Wallace, Jr.
