Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Shanda Taylor Boyd graduated from the University of Washington in 1994 and went on to have a 23-year military career, including time during which she worked as a nurse. In 2004 she was involved in a car accident which left her with a brain injury which was finally diagnosed in 2008. She is active in the Veterans Administration program Taking Charge as well as other veteran and disability group organizations. At the University of Washington she has been active with the School of Nursing, Alumni Association, and Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity.
