Summary
The Archeological Center, a part of the Department of Anthropology, studies the archaeological resources of the eastern Great Plains and the northern Colorado Plateau and provides opportunities for student participation in research. The bulk of the excavations were conducted under the leadership of Jesse D. Jennings. The data and artifacts collected by the Center are in the custody of the Museum of Natural History. This collection contains field and analysis notes, reports, and other site files related to archaeological excavations conducted by the University of Utah. The bulk of the records concern sites in Utah, with a small quantity of materials related to sites in Nevada and Wyoming.

This collection was transferred to the Natural History Museum of Utah on September 19, 2016. Users should contact the Museum for access to this material.
