Historical Note
Andrew Mayeshiba was born in Los Angeles in 1921. During WWII, he spent three years at the Heart Mountain Relocation Camp in Cody, Wyoming. After the war, he moved to the Midwest, where he met and married Irene. Andrew retired from the Ladish Company after thirty-five years of service as a member of the Grand Lodge of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He passed away on January 12, 2015.

The collection contains correspondence to Andrew J. Mayeshiba while he was interned at the Heart Mountain Relocation Camp, as well as correspondence to him in California (before Heart Mountain) and one letter to him in Illinois (after Heart Mountain).
