Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Charles P. Moriarty was born in 1927 in Seattle to U.S. Attorney and King County Superior Court Judge, Charles Moriarty. He earned his law degree in 1951 at the University of Washington, where he also rowed on the varsity team. Moriarty was a Republican member from Seattle of the Washington State House of Representatives, 1957-1959, and the Washington State Senate, the 36th district, 1959-1966, served on the Legislative Budget Committee, ca. 1961-1966, House Banking, Judiciary, Legislative Processes, Liquor Control, and Ways and Means Committees. He died in 1999.
