Historical Note

The University of Wyoming Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), Detachment 940, was established in 1952 under Lt. Col. Thompson. This educational program was designed to give University of Wyoming students the ability to become an officer in the U.S. Air Force while completing a degree.
