Historical Note

Wyoming Writers, Inc. was a writer’s group that began in 1974 in the state of Wyoming because of a writing workshop. It was established to create a community for writers and a forum for discussion in the state. Annual conferences became a cornerstone of the group, creating a foundation from which isolated writers could build relationships to further their writing endeavors. The yearly meeting was augmented by a newsletter, website, and a members only e-list. A Wyoming Writers membership was open to anyone for whom writing was important. The organization sought to encourage all writers, no matter where they were on the writing spectrum. It began as a small, dedicated group of Wyoming writers and grew to include members from around the world.
