Content Description

Four 11"x13" photographs of a Stillwater logging camp, on the Snoqualmie River in western Washington state. All photos are identified as being by "Kinsey Photog, Seattle" and numbered. Two are labeled, one on the front identifying the site, and another on the back identifying a military unit. Apparently various camps of the 416 Aero Squadron (a construction unit) were stationed there between January and August of 1918, working for the Cherry Valley Logging Co. In July 1918 the unit was redesignated as the 33rd Spruce. Spruce Units were designated for logging-related tasks.
