Biographical Note

Waldo E. Rosebush came to Spokane in 1919 as assistant manager of the Inland Empire Paper Company. He was general manager from 1921 to 1936. A gun collector and historian, he was the author of several books, including Frontier Steel (EWSHS, 1958), the story of military weapons used in the nineteenth century West.

Content Description

The collection includes manuscripts, research materials, and correspondence relating to Rosebush’s interest in Western and Inland Empire history. There are also illustrations for publications, photostats, maps, and galley proofs. His gun collection is at the Wisconsin State Historical Society, Madison, Wisconsin.
