Biographical Note
Piper was the daughter of James and Rosena May Garner Cashmore. She married Frank Ward Piper (1890-1929), on March 27, 1916. Piper was an elementary school teacher in the Ogden (Utah) area. She taught kindergarten, fourth grade, and music from 1918-1963. She retired at the age of 71 but continued as a substitute teacher until 1971. Piper was also active in local civic organizations such as the Women's University Club, the Ogden Knife and Fork Club, and the Arphonian Choral Group.
